Helios Crush: Justice SERVED!!

It was the 14th of August 2005 when the Helios aircraft crushed and 121 (mostly Cypriots) died!
Today 20 April 2012, almost 7 years later justice is served and people are convicted for their criminal activities.
Dimitris Pantazis - CEO
George Kikkides - General Director
Yianko Stomeinof - Chief Pilot
Alan Irwin - Chief Mechanic
These are the people convicted for the aircrush.
The families of those dead, feel justice have been served.  They can now find peace into their hearts and know that the people responsible for losing their beloved ones are going to be behind bars.

  1. Justice is not served by the abuse of the justice system that has occurred in the Greek court. This has become a further travesty. As an Air Accident Investigator, I would say that Greece is well on their way to becoming an aviation pariah state, again. There is sufficient evidence on hand to understand what the causality was in this event, yet the court has elected to politicise the judicial process and debase the outcome.

Just finding a an innocent person guilty doesn't assuage the losses of the NoK. It continues the injustice that has occurred. Further than that, the engineer who had followed written procedures is now found guilty of complying with those very procedures. His license requires him to be compliant, yet a Greek Judge in her wisdom can find fault in that.

    Justice, Greek style.
